Articles from 2002 to the present are available in our Greenville News database

We have the older issues of the newspaper available on microfilm, but the only index we have to them is one maintained by the Greenville Public Library which covers select articles back to 1984. Other than that, you may be able to find an approximate issue date to look at based on the date of an event or by searching Google. You can also browse the issues.

The microfilm reels of the Greenville News are located in the microfilm cabinets across from the copier alcove on the main floor. These newspapers are in alphabetical order. Within the drawers, they are organized by date.

If you need help finding a particular reel or in using the microfilm scanner, the folks at the Research Assistance Desk and the Circulation Desk will by happy to assist.
