Members of the community are welcome, during regular hours, to use our print book collection or get a guest login from ITS to use a computer with access to our online databases, journals, and some of our ebooks. If you need to check items out, you may obtain a library card, good for one year, for a $50 fee. For more information, please see this guide for community members.

Faculty members and students from other South Carolina academic institutions as well as those from schools with a Duke Endowment library may borrow books without a fee. See additional information on PASCAL and Duke Endowment borrowing.

Off-campus access to electronic library resources (such as databases, ebooks and journals) is limited to current Furman students, faculty, and staff.

Campus visitors who would like to access the university's network must present their driver's license and sign up for a temporary guest account at the Information Technology Services Desk in the lower level of the main library. Please see additional information on guest network access.
