When you encounter a library item that has IN PROCESS as its status, it means the item has arrived at the library and is somewhere in the process of being physically added to the Library's collection.  This may take several weeks or even months.

If you see something IN PROCESS that you want to borrow as soon as possible, you may ask for that item to be "rushed"; that is, taken out of the normal timeline and processed right away for you. You may ask for a rush at the Circulation or Research Assistance desks. We often can do a 24 hour turn around from your request to having the item in your hand.
